Representative Mastes Ladies - Hawthorn Shield and State Champs 2026 Information and registration

THA loves having all age groups involved in the community and is wanting to send as many Masters ladies teams away for both Hawthorn shield (in Cairns) and State Championships (Brisbane) in 2026.

Due to the closeness of the events this portal allows you to register for both Hawthorn Shield and the State Championships

REGISTRATION DATES
Opens-- THURSDAY 12TH MARCH 2026
Closes-- MONDAY 23RD MARCH 2026

Hawthorn Shield 2026
Cairns - Saturday 11th April & Sunday 12th April

All interested players are encouraged to participate to best prepare for the State Championships.
Two teams will be announced after Training &Trials.
Trials will be held over two weeks on Sunday, 15th & 22nd March from 8am - 9am on the Billabong Turf.

Once teams are selected they will train prior to the Hawthorn Shield on Sunday 29th March from 8am - 9am on the Billabong Turf.


Masters' Ladies State Championships 2026
Brisbane - Thursday 11th June to Sunday 14th June

Accommodation at Chermside
Travel - Return Airflight to Brisbane (own expense)
Team Coaches, Managers, Umpires & Technical Officials - accommodation & travel are funded by the players
Estimated max. cost $750 - $800 (includes car hire during the weekend)
Qld Hockey Trials will be conducted on Thursday, 11th June, 2026.

THA requires the payment of a nomination fee of $50 at the time of nomination.

The nomination fee is refundable if the player is not selected in a team.
The nomination fee is forfeited if a selected player subsequently withdraws from the team without a medical certificate.
The nomination fee will be deducted from the total cost of the trip.

Respect your Team - Fellow Players, Coach, Manager - by participating & being "present" at training - any unavailability needs to be advised to Team Coach and/or Manager.
