THA Indoor season 2026 Information and registration

Townsville Hockey 2026 Indoor Competition.

Indoor hockey has been running successfully as a non-club based junior and senior competition since 2023 and THA is excited to deliver another fun Indoor hockey competition to all our interested junior and senior members in 2026.

Indoor is a fast paced, exciting version of the sport with modified sticks, rules and boards for continuous play.
Indoor is a 6 a side competition including a GK and will go for 8 weeks including FINALS for both junior and seniors.
Running from Sunday 18th October until Sunday 6th December 2026 at the PCYC Upper Ross.

2026 will see all Junior (11-15) and Senior (16 - Masters) competition.

Sundays 1:45pm set up with 2pm start - 9pm game finish and pack up
8 times slots Total - 45 mins
Juniors first 4 time slots - team times will rotate
Seniors second 4 time slots- team times will rotate
THA will aim for gender split competitions but will again be dependant on registration numbers.

Individual nominations via portal by Friday 2nd October
Teams will be designed as evenly as possible and will be non club based

20 minute halves
2pm, 2:45, 3:30, 4:15, 6pm, 6:45, 7:30 & 8:15pm time slots ( subject to change and highly dependent on numbers and interest)
2 complete Regular Rounds with finals ( subject to change highly dependant on numbers and interest)

Volunteers will be needed to help co-ordinate teams, umpiring duties and scoring.

Costs will depend on player numbers but will need to cover venue hire and other expenses.
It is currently set at $100 total per player.
This will be payable at time of registration.
