U11 Hawthorn Shield 2023 Information and registration

Each year Townsville and Cairns compete in an intercity carnival called the Hawthorn Shield. This is a no cost event and Townsville Hockey encourage as many players as possible to nominate.

The Hawthorn Shield is an opportunity for all age groups in Townsville to compete across 2 teams. From U11's through to Masters, it is a great day at the fields for the family to watch and play some great hockey. The Hawthorn Shield this year will be played in Townsville over the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of April.

U11 Townsville teams will be selected following trials on the below dates: (Note, teams selected for Hawthorn Shield may not be the same as teams for the Mackay Carnival later in the year)
